5,100HP Model Bow Tug For Sale. Ext US Army LT. Twin Screw EMD – GM L12-645 turbo charged diesel engines. Auxiliary Power: Two Caterpillar 3408 main generator engines. Two Caterpillar 3306 diesel engines (one for towing winches, and one for bow thruster). And one Caterpillar 3303 diesel ending backup generator. twin single drum, side by side Almond Johnson 300 diesel / hydraulic driven towing winches, each with 2500’ of 2 1⁄2” wire cable with fittings and level winders. Overall condition of the vessel is considered to be well above average to good for age and past services. The vessel has obviously been afforded the extensive maintenance and repair programs typical of the U. S. ARMY and ABS classifications throughout its life. There are scattered previous hull renewals along the waterline. External paint coatings are good with heavy non skid applications on the decks, aluminum stairwells are fitted with non skid tread pads. There are extensive raised goose neck vents with hinged and dogged covers, along with fuel / oil fills with vents and raised spill boxes in way. All internal compartments have specific, well marked raised external vent pipes with hinged covers. The exhaust stacks are fitted with access steps, hinged dogged watertight covers for entry / repairs when required. Internally, conditions are well above average to good, clean, exceptional housekeeping with all systems, gear, equipment properly stored and marked with placards. Extensive gear, equipment, bedding, safety life jackets and suits, tools and equipment remain in place from the vessels U.S. ARMY service. The galley is fully fitted out equipment wise, however no consumables are onboard. Modified in year 2004 with the 02 deck level being removed and pilothouse re-fit to position. ABS classed.
